After the marriage between El Cid’s daughters and the Infantes de Carrión took place in Valencia, the newly-wed returned to Castile. Avengalbón served as their escort from Molina de Aragón onwards. In their journey they crossed "the high wooded country known as the Luzón range", across the Arbujelo valley, heading towards Medinaceli. Although the hills of Luzón are located outside the town’s boundaries, it is possible to enjoy good views of the surrounding area from one of the range’s hillocks, which is decorated with sculptures.
