Santa Emerenciana's Church

Ubicación:

Calle Mayor, 1 La Puebla de Valverde

It was built between the XVI and XVII centuries according to Gothic and Renaissance fashion. In the outside you can admire its forceful forms and the Mannerist cover with four Ionic columns of blackish stone and proportions quite similar to the church of Rubielos de Mora.

The nave has five sections and it´s covered with a barrel vault of lunettes, a polygonal apse masked by the sacristies and side chapels between the buttresses. The vault is supported by rounded archs with grooved pilasters.

Visit: Consult worship times.
