Designated a historical centre in 1961, Albarracín is one of the loveliest towns in Spain. Located in an impressive natural setting, in the Montes Universales, its image is unmistakeable. The cathedral, its defensive system and the Church of Santa María are only some of its many attractions.
Indeed, a stroll around the narrow streets of the town, with their house fronts covered by the characteristic reddish gypsum of the locality, is warmly recommended.
