GU 958 between Ventosa and Torete

This simple provincial road runs next to the River Gallo through peaceful scenery in the Upper Tagus Natural Park. It’s a very good road for cycling tourists when they leave Molina de Aragón because, although it is narrow, with repaired potholes, it has hardly any traffic mid-week and it is quite flat, with a slight descent.

It is worth stopping at the Gothic-Renaissance shrine of the Virgen de la Hoz, guarded by high walls of rock, formed by the erosion that sometimes creates strange stone figures that are even more common in Chequilla.
