Also known as the Grau Vell it is a defensive set that was equipped with stores and stables that would have belonged to the coastal defence system of the Grau de Sagunt. The building is quadrangular and robust. It also has a fortified pentagonal battery, a Bourbon coat of arms and was constructed in 1781. Close to the urban nucleus of the Grau Viejo, to the north, is the archaeological deposit with the same name, with ceramic and metallic vestiges from the V century B.C., from the pre roman port and the Roman town.
