The MTB section between Castejón de Henares and Almadrones (7.6km) is currently very difficult for bikes, since it is very hard to ride in some places and you need to dismount and push the bike: faint path, overgrown vegetation in spring, loose stones and steep slope in La Artilla Ravine.
Therefore, until a good solution is found, we recommend taking the cycling tourism route on the GU-115 road, which directly connects Castejón de Henares with Argecilla (6.3km), and rejoin the MTB track there. The road has very little traffic.
Remember this when you’re on the MTB route in the Álvar Fáñez Route.
