This is one of the best known and most visited roads on the Way of El Cid and the first road to be catalogued as scenic by the Community of Valencia. In the natural area of the River Mijares Narrows, it follows the river down, to where it widens in Arenós Reservoir before narrowing again near Montanejos, in a lovely setting that is popular for rock-climbing and open-air bathing in thermal waters. Although the route is often used by cycling tourists, they should be especially careful in summer when the traffic increases considerably.
